How to Maximize Your Amazon Commissions Rate Quickly
64Reach a High Percentage Quickly
A lot of people feel a bit hampered by seeing how many sales they need to reach a higher Advertising Fee Rate. I believe it can be one of the factor's that put people off, and make them not really want to do it. But, there is a way to quickly do it without much work. Find a product on Amazon that people buy more than one of per time. I experimented with this idea a few months back, I made several pages on my site that were specifically for items that you buy more than one of. I'll give you a couple items, but the rest you'll have to do your own research.
First off, Let's talk about Amazon's Video On Demand. When you watch a episode, you usually get that "what happens next" which pushes you to viewing yet another episode. Well, people do that on Amazon as well, and for each episode they pay for and watch, you get a sale. I've had a number of times where people watched half a season in a single shot, that's several sales per person.
The second one that I'll share with you is music, which you can also purchase on Amazon (Amazon MP3). This is another one that quickly adds up in sales. When you go to a site to purchase a song, do you normally buy more than one? Yes, most likely. Usually people buy several songs at any given time when they are hankering for some new tunes to listen to.
There are other ones out there that do a similar type of thing, but I'll leave that up for you to find out. I've done plenty of research, some of them were successful and some were not. But, with the above examples I'm giving you the stepping stone to doing the same type of thing that I've been doing, boosting that commissions percentage for maximum profits.
Value of Sale vs Value of Commission
Your probably thinking, even if you were getting a bunch of sales with Video On Demand, Amazon MP3, and so forth, that you won't be earning much because of the low cost of each sale. You are right, to a point. Although, it does add up and you do get money doing it, it's not your main purpose of doing this. Like I said, your main purpose is to push that commission percentage higher, so with the main products that you are getting commissions for on your other pages/sites, you'll get more out of those.
For example, you have 10 pages that sell computer stuff, such as monitors, CPU's, video games, and so forth. All of those are big earner's for you. You make a few more pages that sell VOD/MP3's, and your using those pages for the pure purpose of increasing your overall percentage, so that when you sell your main products where you earn more from commissions per sale, your also earning that extra amount because your VOD/MP3 sales are increasing your overall percentage.

Very helpful, thank you.
Great advices. I had never of thought these before
Great point. It's important to have a good mix of lower priced items that will move fast to help get to the higher commission rate as well as more expensive items that will bring in better commission dollars.

Never think of promoting movie since I dont watch movie. I think it's a good idea. I have to give up on promoting music, as it is available only for US buyers.
