For a period of a few years I was a Magic the Gathering (MTG) card re-seller, and what I mean by that is that I bought booster boxes, broke them apart, and sold cards individually or in packs in order to make a profit. Did it work? Yes, but that isn't what this article is about.

This article is about finding places online that can save you a bit of money while getting your booster box. You can chip off $10 to $50 dollars per booster box if you look around for deals. Are they out there? Yes, they are. A lot of people don't go looking for them, they just go ahead and get them from the same places over and over again, spending a lot of money on what they could have got for a lot less.

You see, being a MTG re-seller, I needed to get them for a low cost to make sure that I made a profit. The cheaper I got the booster boxes, the more profit I made. I've been all over the place online trying to get the best deals, which included a speedy delivery. I didn't want to wait all week for my shipment to reach me, I wanted to turn that around as quick as possible.

What did I find out? Amazon actually sells them for great deals, and what's even better is that you find re-sellers on Amazon (just look under the purchase area, they are there as an option) that are constantly trying to beat each others prices. How is that good for you? It's market competition that drives the price down, they know that they won't get buyers if the other guy is selling the exact same thing for less, so what does the person do? The person lowers the price to compete and to beat the competition. It keeps going around and around, and it's great for us, the customers, since it chops off so much off the price.
