Paintball Sets: Play Paintball for Cheap

Find the Right Deals
One of the best methods for outdoor recreation, is to shoot your friends. Well, playing paintball that is. But here's the thing, paintball is a relatively costly outdoor sport that will be expensive at first, especially when your gearing up for your first session. If you shop around you will find quality paintball accessories that won't cripple your bank, and at the same time provide you everything that you need to get yourself out there and having some fun with your friends.
What I Recommend
If your playing for your first time, I recommend getting a package deal, try to find a set that has all the basic gear that you need. Such as the mask (so you don't get it in the eyes or mouth, or even up your nose), your paintball gun, the CO2 tank (for your gun), and about 1,500 rounds. Your thinking, 1,500 rounds? Isn't that a bit much? No, it's not. If your playing for a few hours your going to be going through them rather fast. This will ensure that you have enough of a supply to not have to worry about how many rounds you have left. Also, look at the worst cast scenario, you have extra rounds? So what, use them up the next time. Eventually, either way, they will be used.
Getting a package deal will save you time and money, since you don't have to go a get it piece by piece, which can be quite costly, and also you can quickly get it all in one swoop.
If You've Never Played Before
If you've never played paintball before and are eager to give this a shot, don't go all out and spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on paintball gear if you don't know whether or not you actually like it. Just imagine spending a thousand on this, your all pumped up and on the field and having a little fun with your friends, but it turns out that you don't like it very much. Well, you can always sell your gear, but your going to be a taking a hit on the turnaround due to it being used. I highly recommend that you only spend a couple to a few hundred on this, max. If you like the sport, you can always upgrade and buy more later, and if you don't like it you can always just shrug it off and toss it into your closet until your urge to play comes again.
What You Need
Be sure that the set you purchase has all or the majority of the following. You need this equipment to participate, if you don't have it all you may not be able to play.
- Gun or Marker - The most important aspect of playing paintball, the gun.
- Mask - If you want to keep your face the way it is, use a mask.
- Hopper - Think of this as a clip, it's what you load your paintballs into.
- Air Tank - It's what you need to shoot your paintballs (compressed air/CO2).
- Paintballs - Important, if you want to shoot anyone. Just like a real gun, you need rounds.
Don't Forget the Accessories!
Depending on the rules of where you are playing, you may want to get some clothing, additional gear, and pads for your first paintball experience. Added protection can keep you safe, since getting hit by a paintball can hurt from time to time.
